WJE Welcomes Facade Engineering Expert, Michele Assabese

We are pleased to welcome Michele Assabese as an Associate Director in our London office.

A seasoned facade engineer, Mr. Assabese brings extensive experience providing technical guidance and engineering support to owners, developers, designers, and construction professionals involved in new-build, refurbishment, and adaptive reuse projects. His expertise includes curtain wall systems, rainscreen systems, and modular construction, with a strong focus on adapting to evolving industry standards and navigating today’s increasingly demanding regulatory environment.

Recognized as a trusted expert in his field, Mr. Assabese has also served as an expert witness, helping to educate and resolve complex design and construction claims.

Mr. Assabese began his career collaborating with engineers and architects in Germany and Italy on projects located across Europe. This experience has given him a unique and diverse understanding of building codes, regulations, and the project delivery process. His deep technical expertise and first-principles approach to problem solving have earned him recognition as a leader among peers, a reliable resource for his clients, and a mentor to peer-level professionals and younger associates who have served on his teams.
