Experience

Mark Chauvin joined WJE in 1999 and has significant experience with forensic investigations of architectural and structural problems with buildings and bridges. He has been engaged with inspection, analysis, and repair of structural capacity issues, deterioration, distress, or failure of wood, concrete, masonry, and steel systems, including multiple collapse investigations. Mr. Chauvin has also performed investigations of performance problems related to building enclosures, including metal panel and masonry facades, EIFS and stucco claddings, and roofing and waterproofing systems.

In addition to his project work, Mr. Chauvin has conducted research to assess the effectiveness of several corrosion mitigation strategies implemented on a chloride-contaminated reinforced concrete bridge in Minneapolis.
