Northbrook Staff Volunteer on Earth Day
On Earth Day and as part of the Illinois Adopt-a-Highway Program, our staff volunteered to clean up portions of the road in front of our Northbrook headquarters.
Large items were marked for pickup by the Illinois Department of Transportation, who also collected the volunteers’ trash bags. An Adopt-a-Highway sign commemorating WJE’s overall efforts stands on Pfingsten Road.
This initiative invites volunteer groups to partner with the Illinois Department of Transportation to pick up litter and keep local roadsides clean.
The Illinois Adopt-a-Highway program is supported by more than 10,000 volunteers annually.
