Experience
Steven Schmit joined WJE in January 1997 as the Manager of Accounting. He currently serves as the Vice President and Director of Finance. Reporting directly to the President and CEO, Mr. Schmit is responsible for the oversight of the accounting, finance, tax, treasury, and payroll functions of the firm and holds primary responsibility for the integrity of information contained in their accounting and project management system, Deltek Vision.
Prior to joining WJE, Mr. Schmit began his career at the public accounting firm of Deloitte at which time WJE was one of his clients. After leaving Deloitte in 1993, he was employed as the Director of Internal Audit at Gaylord Container Corporation.
