
Experience
Emmy Young’s project experience includes assessment, investigation, testing, design, and repair of new and existing buildings. Her projects encompass various building materials and systems, including brick, concrete, stucco, below-grade waterproofing, and membrane roofing. Ms. Young also possesses expertise with modeling and hygrothermal analysis of building enclosure systems using WUFI©.
Ms. Young’s primary focus is on historic and existing building enclosures and building structures. She also has experience in below-grade waterproofing, facade, and roof design for new structures. Her expertise includes investigation, assessment, construction documentation, observation, and construction administration services. Ms. Young has performed investigations and assessments of damage from fire to water leakage and has assisted in the recommendations, repair, restoration, rehabilitation, and preservation of structures.
