Benjamin R. Parmer

Experience

Ben Parmer is a civil/structural engineer in the areas of bridge and building structural condition assessments. He performs projects involving wood, steel, and concrete structures. He is also experienced in the analysis and rehabilitation design of historic timber, wood, steel, and concrete.

Before joining WJE, Mr. Parmer served for five years as a United States Army Engineer Officer. He managed multiple rehabilitation construction projects on several army installations and extensively trained engineer units in conducting bridge and road assessments while under fire. Mr. Parmer led combat engineering modernization efforts at Fort Cavazos as the army shifted from conflicts in the Middle East to preparing for a near-peer combat environment.
