Barilelo Nghana

Experience

Barilelo Nghana has extensive experience in building science research and building enclosure consulting for both new construction and existing buildings. His work spans peer design review, construction observation, building enclosure commissioning and performance testing, restoration and rehabilitation of existing building enclosures, building science forensics, and hygrothermal analysis. He is highly skilled in heat transfer analysis for evaluating thermal bridging impacts and condensation risk in a wide range of enclosure systems, and he contributed to the development of the industry-recognized BC Hydrothermal Bridging Guide.

Dr. Nghana’s research background includes sustainable building design with advanced expertise in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and whole-building energy simulation. He has authored and coauthored publications in leading peer-reviewed journals on sustainable materials, active building envelope systems, renewable energy integration, and innovative high-performance design strategies for energy-efficient buildings.
